What is DTF Printing?
DTF, or Direct-to-Film, is a revolutionary printing method that transfers designs from specialized PET films onto fabrics using a heat press. This technique works on a wide range of materials, including:

The DTF Printing Process
- Print on Film
- Your designs are printed onto high-quality PET film using advanced DTF printers and RIP software for precision and clarity.
- Powdering
- A hot-melt adhesive powder is uniformly applied to the wet print, ensuring a clean, adhesive-ready design. Excess powder is removed for a flawless finish.
- Melting the Powder
- The film passes through a curing oven, melting the adhesive powder at approximately 120°C for 2–3 minutes.
- Heat Transfer
- The prepared film is pressed onto the fabric at 140–160°C for 10–15 seconds. This ensures a strong bond between the design and the material.
- Post-Pressing
- For enhanced durability and wash resistance, the fabric is pressed again for 5–8 seconds after the transfer process.
Preparing Your Artwork for DTF Printing
To achieve the best results, follow these guidelines:
File Requirements:
- File types: PDF, PNG, TIF with a transparent background
- Resolution: 300–900 DPI for crisp prints
- Save files in CMYK format; RGB files will be converted
- Remove any unwanted backgrounds; all visible elements will be printed
Important Notes:
- Avoid transparency effects, gradients, or shadows as they do not print accurately.
- Ensure fine details are thickened; elements smaller than 1mm may not transfer well.
- Check colors before submission; we are not responsible for color mismatches.
